I first met Nanette on an expedition to Antarctica. I was one of the expedition team leaders that went from Punta Arenas in Chile to the Research Station at King George Island. This was Nanette's first time to Antarctica and she was along for the adventure. It was the start of a very special friendship. Not only a successful surgeon with a profitable partnership in her own business, Dr Nanette Wendel is also a very accomplished photographer with a great eye for composition and detail. Her love for nature and travel has taken her to all four corners of the world, in the pursuit of adventure and that perfect image. Since being among native tribes and witnessing the natural beauty of some of the most remote parts of the world, she has been concentrating her efforts to combine her lust for travel and photography with conservation and environmental research. |
