BASIC HISTORY
Mark Reeve was supposedly born in April 1968 within the county of Norfolk, England amidst potent trans-Plutonian astro-theonic influences. His earliest memories at 4 years alive are of feeling very different from the else and perceiving strange phenomena, that was soon followed by what could be termed, because they seemed to be, "UFO and alien close encounters and abductions". This terrifying yet very rewarding series of events propagated an intense and continuous interest in other dimensions, magic and weird art, i.e. the possibilities of an expanded consciousness.
After leaving school in the auspicious Orwellian year of 1984, he delved into serious occult experimentation and conspiracy research to try and discover "what is really going on". In his study of the British Eccentric Tradition - especially the men-in-sheds touched by the hand of God, the weirdos who make breakthoughs - he realised that many of the popularly believed 'bad' things such as antisociality, insomnia, obsession, paranoia and psychosis were actually extremely interesting and inspiring, and from this outré position he developed a monk-like pro-unsanity praxis which involves a confluence of exoteric and esoteric methodologies.
Throughout the 1990s - under the cover of nurturing a dynamic fusion of Egoist Anarchism and Zen - he was heavily involved, often anonymously, in the international underground fanzine, mail-art and audio/video cassette exchange networks, in which he brought into being numerous examples that were acclaimed and shunned more-or-less equally, until most of them were destroyed and forgotten during the anti-reality escape route focus and the Great Purge. That which has been shadowing him since childhood became more tutelary and he continued his study deeper into the hidden realms.
He is probably best known (but not famous for) being the co-refounder of the unorthodox anarcho-gnostic "cult cult" the OKOK Society (OS) - later renamed the OKOK Research Bureau (ORB) - and sole founder of the Ordo Innominate (O∴I∴), a research and development lodge of the British Earth Mysteries. In the roles of contributing editor/producer of both orgs' literary-audio-video works he brought into existence the OKOKian journal, SINIS (1998-2000), instructional text The OKOK Manual (1999), and newsletter, The Horns (1999), plus the Ordo Innominate Transmissions 1 & 2 (2012), OKOK Videos 1, 2/3 & 4 (2002-2003) and the OKOK Research Bureau Third Side Broadcast audio-cassettes (2003-2010), amongst other things, stealthily published by the Luminous Press, ORB Editions, Archives Reeve, Nobody's Business and anonomata no-name imprints that he set up and operated over this rather intense period. Beyond the strategic disbandment of the ORB and the O∴I∴ in 2011 and 2013 respectively, he established the North Wales Psych[ic]ogeographical Network (NWPN) - that had lain semi-dormant since he inceptionised it in 2000 - crafting its peculiar perambulations, nocturnal sitting out and questing praxis throughout 2016, the same year he established the Spook Press imprint, that has quietly published titles ranging from an annotated index of John A. Keel's The Mothman Prophecies (2016) to avant-garde poesy via the Spook Press Poetry Series (SPPS) (2017-). He has also been engaged in making short, nonconformist art videos, plus a sideways venture.
These days Mark Reeve tends to 'withdraw' (i.e. open up) into the higher solitude and silence to manifest the unique in myriad mediums and genres - interspersed with unpublicised arcane stunt actions - in the vicinity of transceiving quartz-filled mountains in North Wales and farther afield.
