THE BASIC FREAKOUT LIQUIDS

There's something uniquely interesting about booze intoxication, especially when it involves the good stuff like single-malt Scotch Whisky, Polish Spirit or Absinthe. Even better perhaps is the alchemical option, when one takes the homebrew route. I can amply attest to the efficiency of traditional British Scrumpy Cider, that will put you on your arse if you're not careful, but I've just been turned on to the sweet socker Finnish Kilju, a simple to make but potent drink that is quick to mature. 15-17% alcohol by volume (ABV) in around two weeks. If distiller's super-yeast is used the mix can yield up to 14% ABV in three days or less. Of course it is rough as fuck but can keep for years and be rendered palatable with fruit juices. An even simpler base alcohol of up to 20% ABV can be made from common table sugar and transform into both an antidote to walls and a wisdom palace.

HOW TO DEAL WITH "MAN WITH A VAN"

So, you're about to move house, or anything from A to B. This can be a stressful and traumatic event for anyone. You can't afford the services of a professional moving company or you only have a small load, so you've opted for the ubiquitous "Man with a Van". As with all businesses, there are angels and cowboys. You don't want anything untoward happening to your prized possessions, so here's a few tips to make your move as stress-free as possible:

1. Always make sure the "Man" you choose can provide you with testimonials from previous satisfied customers. Don't take any excuses. If he is who he says he is he will have no problem showing you this proof. Take some time to contact these listed people if possible.

2. Establish his landline telephone number and physical address. Make an excuse to phone him to check he actually lives where he says. Consider walking past his house to see if his van is parked there. Do an internet search on both his name and his company's name to see what comes up. Add words like 'recommendation' or 'rip off' to check any good or bad reports.

3. Make sure that he has separate business insurance cover for his removals company, because his normal driving insurance policy will not cover any loss or damage to your goods.

4. Get a written contract signed by himself, yourself, and an independent witness if possible, for this gives you the necessary evidence should you need to take court action, etc. Courts operate with facts, not opinions, and you would need to provide provable facts to satisfy them that you actually have a case.

5. When he arrives, take a look at the condition of his vehicle. If it looks a bit worse for wear, this doesn't necessarily reflect on his character, but use your eyes and intuition. This also applies to the 'vibes' you get from him.

6. Insist on travelling with him in his van when you move, and bring along another person if you can, as you don't want him getting lost, or worse, driving off into the sunset with your possessions. Whilst in his vehicle, openly cut an apple into sections with a small "legal carry" fruit knife and eat it.

7. You may be able to haggle the price down if yourself or a friend can help him load and unload his van. Don't be shy, most businesses of this type are used to haggling with customers.

8. Finally, make a written list of all items that are going to be moved. Check these off immediately once they have been delivered to your new home. (NB: Place a "Fragile: Handle with Care" notice on appropriate boxes, and don't pack any of them heavier than 25kg, so they can be easily carried by one person. Make sure the boxes are wrapped all the way around with strong parcel adhesive tape, to help prevent contents falling out from the top or bottom.)

These suggestions may seem excessive, but remember: all Men with Vans are total strangers to you. They could be anyone, with all manner of intents. So it's to your advantage to find out as much as possible about the one you are thinking of employing. Reputable companies will respect this. The dodgy ones will not. This is your proof of character.

WHY KEVIN LOVES HIS WORK

Many wonder what is going on in the British education system, with figures bandied about like "31 per cent of seven-year-olds could not read properly, 40 per cent - including 50 per cent of boys - could not write properly, and at least 25 per cent of 11-year-olds went on to secondary school ill-equipped." And this was in 2002. It seems even worse now. When pupils leave school many are stupider than if they hadn't attended it in the first place. They have no idea who they are or what they can be. To put it simply, most of them are fucked.

To find out why this is I tracked down an insider, a teacher of seven years whom we shall call "Kevin", to spill the beans on the current state of British education. Here is the crux of his story:

"I started off quite interested in school and got good results. But by the early 1980s I was suspecting it was all a giant mind-numbing dumbing down operation. I soon realised I was a victim of social control, of the War Against Intelligence, when the local comprehensive school was closed and a lot of the kids were sent to my grammar school. It was a disaster! Things went to pot overnight, literally. One day we were getting on with studying for our final exams, the next day there were all these yobbos gathering berries from the school hedges at lunchtime to throw at the teachers. They ruined our chances."

I asked him if he thought this was a deliberate policy, as I suspect the current austerity measures are, to keep the poor and middle classes in their place. He replied: "Look at the facts. This happened under a Conservative Government, led by the so-called "Iron Lady", Margaret Thatcher, who were supposed to uphold inequality and an each-to-their-own-level philosophy. This importation of berry-throwers was like some hideous uber-Marxist plot to mess the good, studious, well-behaved kids up!"

He explained that he gave up afterwards, and: "If this was allowed to happen by the powers that be then what else did they have in store for us? So I dropped out and decide to walk my own path. Me and a few like-minded others preferred to bunk off and smoke than sit in lessons anymore. We'd go down the amusement arcade and hang out with the older guys there on the dole. We learned a lot more from them than any of the teachers at school, who didn't seem interested in anything."

After 16, he was short of money and so along with a few others of the group he joined the army: "It taught me discipline and persistence. After I was discharged and looking around for something to do, I didn't want to work for someone, I wanted to work with people, helping them, like. So I went into teacher training. This gives me right access, and opportunity."

He then set forth his philosophy: "Having had my own education fucked up, I was determined that any of my pupils would get the best chance possible to succeed. There's nothing fancy about it, you give your best to make the best out of those you give it to. The progressive schools understood this, like AS Neill's Summerhill, founded in 1921. The Steiner-Waldorf schools are good too. Then there's Dartington, that's a bit too posh for me but excellent nonetheless."

Yes, Kevin has a chip on both shoulders, but this is due to what he has experienced directly. We asked him to elaborate: "It was the American, John Taylor Gatto, who really nailed the faults of the modern educational system. He's talking about America but it equally applies to the UK. He's a garlic farmer so he naturally repels the vampires who want to destroy us, to make us like them, monsters. It's a conspiracy. Before the Victorian times we used to teach ourselves and each other, but we got too intelligent so they introduced compulsory state-controlled education to knock out our natural intelligence and questioning and teach us blind obedience to authority. Pupils are regarded as 'cash cows' in schools, just as patients are in the psychiatric system. And both of these institutions operate like prisons..."

Other rebel teachers we contacted also spoke highly of Mr Gatto, and recommended his whistleblower books on the education system, especially: The Underground History of American Education (2001), Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling (1992), and Weapons of Mass Instruction: A Schoolteacher's Journey through the Dark World of Compulsory Schooling (2008). Jon Rappoport was also thought highly of, his rebel rousing The Artist Against The System article being mentioned several times.

Back to Kevin: "Unlimited Imagination Expressed Through Creativity: There's no limit to individual creativity, invention of realities, of the mind remaking reality, forging destiny. The powers that be try to take this power away from you through the group/collective, where everyone is the same and has the same goals and prison walls. The One World Order of Globalism. The New Age - touting its no separation: we are all one con, via the promotion of the anti-self, anti-ego ideas. A pro-family trip, the family being a substitute proxy of the State collective. They define what reality is and try to impose their view (that they don't necessarily believe) onto you, through mind-control or violence."

So a political solution is needed? "Anarchist-Gnostic (Individual Freedom) vs. Fascist-Religious (State Control). A One Political Party. We're supposedly now ruled by a Conservative-Liberal coalition, but the Conservatives don't conserve things, they close libraries, post offices, etc. And Liberals aren't libertarian, they're authoritarian, they push and back the welfare reforms, etc. We've got to smash it all and start anew, and be ever vigilant."

The dusty chalk blackboard has been replaced with the shiny animated computer screen, that can swing the pupil's mind two ways even more effectively, either helping or hindering, but with people like Kevin about, it looks like there's still hope...

THE MONTAUK BASE TOUR

I've just watched an enjoyable video of the jumper king Preston Nichols presenting a walkabout around the infamous Montauk Base in 1993. You can scoff, but he delivers a far more interesting location and commentary than is found on most other Urban Explorer videos. We get to see his groovy radio equipment collection, the base's psychedelic mind-control programming rooms and a nearly-naked Duncan Cameron in a light-bulb trance (a more detailed look at Preston Nichols' Space-Time Laboratories can be viewed here).

FEED SCAN

It is most telling that I prefer to listen to FM radio white noise augmented by computer interference (or my own or some other presence?) rather than the actual programs, hence:

21st Century Folk Culture: A nice article on scarecrows. This folk and occult is another project by the Museum of British Folklore.

Thomas Bey William Bailey: An interesting chap, whose book, Micro Bionic: Radical Electronic Music & Sound Art in the 21st Century, can be downloaded for a donation or for free. His next book, Unoffical Release: Self-Released & Handmade Audio in Post-Industrial Society, is enjoyably informative also. He also does the Belsona Academy radio show.

Occult Mind-Control Expose: The stunning music video for the 7" vinyl 33 Trapped Chilean Miners by British band the Ceramic Hobs (my "silent partners") can be viewed here. The record itself can be bought from Must Die Records, via bandcamp. Also see the MH370-related posts here.

This was a happy session formulated by a still night cast; the conglomeration of real people's art stimulated hidden mind.

MONTAGE PLANT

These two pictures reproduced below document what was originally a single long photomontage I made and mounted on what was originally an old wooden shelf, upon which stood many rare and expensive books on philosophy, art and occult.

The wood was already imprinted by the creative intent of the many authors that had seeped out of the books, and for varying reasons it commingled with my own creative intent present in the imagery arrangement. It was, along with other effects, more stronger felt in close proximity to the work.

VINTAGE OKOK VIDEO & NEW MATERIAL

A lot of early OKOK Society video work has intensified after playing with various digital recording devices and editing software I've reached my technique and have now restarted video creation and collaboration. My first experiments will appear online somewhere, probably here.

FEED SCAN

Keep the information rolling, especially when let down by a prearranged meeting unmanifest. Turned towards:

The Old School Horror Current: The ex-priest, SAS-trained killer and exorcist, Mark Sabat, one of the many alter egos of the author Guy N. Smith, who was curiously interviewed on audio by the Spooky Isles.

Charlotte Higgins: Discussing her latest book, Under Another Sky: Journeys in Roman Britain, she briefly mentions the probable ritually sacrificed dogs buried at crossroads in the mysterious former Roman garrison town of Silchester in Hampshire. This may explain the Hekate cult activity that's said to have manifested there in more recent times.

1010: The anonymous work, A Psychogeophysics Handbook and Reader (Version 0.4. Released 9 August 2011), is about recording the hidden sounds of the environment. This is a rather large PDF file of 80mb and was sourced from here.

Many routes of further research these did impart, that have been or are being followed up. A flowered wallpaper feeling, translucent door in it near the corner on some divergent nights.

HA - TRANSMISSION 1

I suppose I should tell you that HA is an experimental audio diary that investigates what's really going on through the usual sponge, adopting a conglomerant of fugue poetics, radio inserts, field recordings and a darker conspiracy edge, very quick and spacial. The standpoint is innovative progression. The HA Transmissions are here.

GWAITH DIRGEL (SECRET WORK)

All 200-or-so copies of the OKOK Society 7" purple vinyl 33.3 rpm Gwaith Dirgel EP, released back in 2003 on R-Bennig (R-BEN 061), are now sold out. Not sure why it scanned in red in the photo opposite, but as it was recorded and released in Wales it is apt as regards the red dragon. No further OKOK, etc., vinyl records are planned, but there is always the lathe-cut promise of King Peter, so who knows? More info and images of this peculiar record are offsite here.
