A RITUAL FILM

(NB: Have just discovered that earlier in the day of this Feed Scan, a freak tornado hit Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, and also Northampton. LEAMINGTON SPA is the birthplace of Aleister Crowley and a magical permutation of PENTAGON MALIS = NEONATAL GIMPS = SIGNALMEN ATOP. NORTHAMPTON is where these dwell.)

OKOK-EYE-FIEND
Over 20 years ago today, the OKOK Society supplied some source tapes to Expose Your Eyes, who then transformed them into The Clock Don't Walk noise audio-cassette, that was released in the USA on Union Pole Tapes (UP42) on 1 January 1995. It turned out really good I feel, and the full work can be listened to or purchased here.
The OKOK Society's flagship Third Side LP (FIEND LP 003) - a transparent lathe-cut 12" 33.3rd rpm vinyl released on the Fiend Recordings label circa 2005 in a limited edition of about 20 - has now been digitised. Sourced from the original mastertapes, the full-length audio is now available here.

A JOURNEY TO TIMESLIP
I don't like modern culture, find it too abstruse, or rather not worth the attention, so I abstract elsewhere, often back to the 1960s-1970s alternative revzone. Had dream about hunting aliens. Flashlights behind the curtains looking out, shadows merging into shadows, humming azure stones. The aliens came disguised as wind, got here somehow through a mimeographed underground magazine entitled Perfect Mixture. Its editor maintains a shrine-room in a West London house, where he has bizarre sexual encounters. Afterwards texts appear in an ornate oval mirror, or are simply slipped under the door in brown manila envelopes. Woke up in a purple flash.
Looking for answers, at the always dependable RealityStudio I came across the work of the late German literaturist, Carl Weissner (photoed above). Best known for his translations of William S. Burroughs, Charles Bukowski, Bob Dylan, JG Ballard, etc., Weissner was also a member of the international cut/up conspiracy. He began the magazine Klactoveedsedsteen in 1965, that was innovative in format and contained big names, and later produced other strangeness on the planet like the lysergic Death in Paris (2009). What I got really excited about though was a full PDF of Weissner's cut/up work, The Braille Film (Nova Broadcast Press, 1970), a neglected avant-garde gem. THE ANCIENT ORDER EXPOSED
Once upon a time, an anonymous, indefatigable conspiracy investigator distributed a series of bizarre newsletters that revealed the disturbing beliefs and secret skullduggery of what he/she called "The Ancient Order", the world's ultimate supercult that employs "Laser Rays" and letter-number codes, etc., to maintain its hegemonic rule over the planet.
His/Her (it was almost certainly the work of a single individual rather than a group) original findings were in turn obsessively developed by Buck Smith and fully documented in his conspiracy genre classic, The Ancient Order Exposed. First published in 2006, the latest fully revised and expanded PDF edition is now downloadable here, if you can handle the truth.

HASTINGS ART SCENE
If you're an artistic studious type, live anywhere near Hastings in Sussex, want something different and have some cash to spare it might be worth your while to become involved with the New Independent Art School Hastings, that has some interesting courses on offer. My longtime friend and collaborator, Jason Williams, is teaching a one-week intensive Experimental Drawing class there, starting next month.

LITERARY COMMUNICATIONS
Anyone interested in 20th Century avant-garde journals and the like should get over to the Modernist Journals Project, who have digitised loads of obscure material, including the two issues of Wyndham Lewis' Blast and the two of its successor, The Tyro. Also available are the three versions of the curious, butterfly-wings-shaped Le Petit Journal des Refusées (1896), "offering hints of Dada and Surrealism before these modes of modernism actually developed."

BRITISH WEIRDNESS UPDATE
Those interested in Sussex occult and Christian weirdness, including the astounding shenanigans of "God's 007", Derry Mainwaring Knight, should check out Marc Heal's forthcoming book, The Sussex Devils: The Satanic Panic of the 1980s - A Memoir & A Mystery Story, as it looks very promising.
